Donut? Doughnut? Around this office, we don’t really care how you spell it, as long as you provide them! Lucky for us, Forrest typically brings in donuts on Friday mornings, so we get our fill. Plus Sunday is National Donut Day! And did you know that there is 2 National Donut (Doughnut) days because you know we like them so much! One is in June and the other is today!
In honor of the day of the donut, we wanted to make sure that you knew about some great local bakeries that are known for their donuts!
Located at 1113 Chastain Road Ste 200, Kennesaw, GA 30144
or at 8492 Hiram Acworth Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157
Paradise Donuts has all of your standard donut needs, as well as other options like the Maple Bacon donut or the Peanut Butter Banana donut! Pair them with a wide variety of coffees – hot or cold!
Located at 745 Cobb Pkwy N, Marietta, GA 30062
I stopped in this joint one day out of sheer curiosity. I am a sucker for a good home made donut and Tip Top definitely delivered. I think the best thing about their donuts was easily how fluffy they were. They all have a great taste, but the fluffiness of them alone made me want to return. To give you another reason to stop in – their prices are fantastic.

This recommendation comes to us from Lisa who isn’t even a huge fan of donuts (we forgive her.) Even though she doesn’t eat donuts often, she highly recommends the donut holes. They also serve other breakfast foods like sandwiches and croissants, for those of you who prefer something savory.
Located at 5950 North Point Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30022
Okay, this one is officially on our list of places to try! Just look at the photos on their yelp page. This place doesn’t serve your run-of-the-mill glazed donuts (well, they might but that’s not what’s important here;) they serve Nutter Butter, s’mores, birthday cake, cannoli, and cookie dough donuts, just to name a few! Check out their ice cream selection as well!
Located at 535 10th St NW, Atlanta, GA 30318
or 2566 Briarcliff Rd NE, Atlanta, GA 30329
Your favorite donuts, with a twist. Sublime offers the donuts you’ve known and loved your whole life, but also has a great selection of special items as well! Mike D can even find his favorite donut here – raspberry filled! Stop by on your way to a Tech football game or any time you’re hanging out in the Atlanta area. Or, if you find yourself in Thailand, they’ve also got a store in Bangkok!
With all of these great local donut places, you’d think our staff would have a wide variety of favorite donut shops but upon me asking, I found that almost all of them have one thing in common:
Luckily for them, we’re getting a brand new Krispy Kreme right down the road from us at 9420 Highway 92, Woodstock, GA 30189 – less than a five minute drive. Below, check out our favorite donuts and where to find them!
Chocolate Frosted
Chocolate cake with chocolate frosting or honey cruller. I am a native Ohioan and grew up with a Tim Hortons right down the road from my house – many mornings were started with a 10 pack of TimBits. Unfortunately, they don’t have the Canadian based chain in Georgia (although in researching for this blog, I found that there used to be one right outside of Downtown Woodstock) but if you’re ever in the Northern parts of the country, I recommend you try a donut and an Iced Capp!
Original Krispy Kreme
Jason just likes the ones that Forrest brings in on Friday, which always come from the Publix at the corner of Jiles Rd and Baker Rd in Kennesaw.
Pumpkin Spice
Kreme Filled, Chocolate Iced donut from Krispy Kreme
Original Krispy Kreme, especially when the Hot sign is on!

Original Cake Donuts
