Not as on track with your finances as you would like?
March is National Credit Education Month. This is a great time to manage your finances and get on top of your incomings and outgoings, and any credit you might have. Throughout the month, we will share with you some basic tips and resources to keep track of your credit score.
Have some credit, but not too much - Having several cards is a lot of responsibility and if you doubt your ability to pay each monthly balance it might be best to avoid collecting multiple cards for now.
Keep credit card balances low - Using your credit cards regularly while maintaining low balances or zero balances tends to promote higher credit scores.
Apply for and open new credit accounts only as needed - Only apply for new credit when you actually need it and not simply to boost your available credit.
